This 2 part class will give you all the tools and supplies to build the Anet A8 3d printer and the knowledge to use it to make your own objects from design through printing.

This printer model represents years of development in the open source RepRap project, and the sourcing of the best price/quality parts from around the world. You will only need basic motor skills and an attention to detail to build your kit into a printing robot!

You will get:

• An Anet A8 printer kit ( $180 value)
• 1lb PLA filament ($30 value)
• All the tools needed to assemble your printer

The First class will focus on assembly, testing and tuning: 4 hours

• identify parts
• assemble frame
• explanation of electrical components and hazards
• assemble electronics
• square, plumb and level moving parts
• test!

The Second Class will be for printing: 4 hours

• loading filament
• printing test objects from memory card
• setting up your computer to talk to the printer
• printing models downloaded from internet
• software for creating your own model to print
